Treatments:
- Ingrown nail: Minor surgical procedure: partial removal of the nail will be necessary. Full removal of nail may be necessary if there is severe nail deformity.
- Fungal infections: Perferred podiatrist may perscribe a topical for less severe fungal infections. As well as, podiatrist may perscribe medication to completely get rid of the fungus.
- Blood beneath the nail (Hematoma) : Podiatric surgeon may create a tiny hole to release some of the blood and relieve pain.
